honestly, factory defaults are the best in my opinion. We got a guy I work with who likes the sticks to be where you barely touch it and it takes off. The 61 I ran was so screwed up. Everytime you would barely touch any function, it would fly. Sucked.
My 34, I push the stick about 1/8 inch and it starts to creep, as i get farther in it it goes faster.
I know when you adjust them, your supposed to have the boom flat out. With my boom, if its completely flat out and i get into the stick slightly, it will move very slowly.
Another thing that can affect how smooth the boom is, is the pins and bushings in the boom. If your watching the boom as your turning if it looks like the booms waving back and fourth when you stop, the pins might be wore out causing your not-so-smooth stops.
I'm sure with time, you'll get used to it. Wish I was running a 39 meter. Those are sweet booms for sure. We got a 2012 in our yard, but we cant run it because we havent got the title yet
