Biggest thing for me is getting use to proportional controls. So smooth and much better then black and white. Not touching any of the setting on. Omnex board. Could if I wanted too

you suck at running black / white pumps? Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap. hehe. I dont mind them. LOVE proportional, but can run B/W pretty smooth too.

Nick. Where do your sticks Engage on your remote? If you cannot get the boom to Ease into the turn, it could be an over adjustment at the CPC or your stick coils could be going bad.

When you ease into the stick slightly, it should start to crawl barely. The farther you push it, the faster it moves. One thing that will make it a lot smoother is when your pushing into the stick, make sure when you go to let off that section to Ease out of the stick.

Like i said, if the boom takes off .. it could just be an over adjustment, or it could be a bad coil

The skewing starts when you r about 1/4 to a 1/3 into the stick. Just have to get use to it especially when I'm far or straight out with her. Biggest boom I've ran so far.

Just have to get more time on the truck. I don't think anything is wrong with the engagement point cause all the other sections r really smooth

How many of you guys mess with ur engagement points?.?.?

Plus the other day when I pumped with her it was a couple days after Sandy and wicked windy. I don't know if you guys think that matter but it was a hard for me in the beginning especially since I was pretty much flat out for first part of job

honestly, factory defaults are the best in my opinion. We got a guy I work with who likes the sticks to be where you barely touch it and it takes off. The 61 I ran was so screwed up. Everytime you would barely touch any function, it would fly. Sucked.

My 34, I push the stick about 1/8 inch and it starts to creep, as i get farther in it it goes faster.

I know when you adjust them, your supposed to have the boom flat out. With my boom, if its completely flat out and i get into the stick slightly, it will move very slowly.

Another thing that can affect how smooth the boom is, is the pins and bushings in the boom. If your watching the boom as your turning if it looks like the booms waving back and fourth when you stop, the pins might be wore out causing your not-so-smooth stops.

I'm sure with time, you'll get used to it. Wish I was running a 39 meter. Those are sweet booms for sure. We got a 2012 in our yard, but we cant run it because we havent got the title yet Sad
